it will be online this year!
Our annual Christmas pageant is taking place online during our December 13th Sunday morning service. It's going to look a bit different from past years since there won't be a script, but the message of hope, peace, love and joy will continue to ring throughout it as always! We are hoping to have as many students involved as possible, so make sure to read below how you can get your student(s) and your family involved!! We want this service to have a home-y Christmas kind of feel to it, so we're hoping you'll open your homes and invite us in with a recording this year! Check out the info below!
Ways to be involved This year!
SUBMIT A VIDEO OF YOUR FAMILY (BY DEC 06)
We also would like to feature families in their homes filling in the second half of the statements below that will be compiled into a video to be used in the service. Pick a Christmas-y spot in your house (Christmas outfits encouraged!) and watch THIS VIDEO to learn the specifics we need for the video and then hit record and have fun! We need families to read these sentences and fill in the rest (efficient answers are most desirable and make sure to pause for three seconds between answering each prompt):
We love Christmas because...
Our favorite part about the story of Jesus' birth is...
Our favorite Christmas tradition is...
Our favorite ornament on the tree is...
And then EVERYONE saying "Merry Christmas" at the end of the video
SUBMIT A VIDEO OF YOUR CHILD PLAYING/SINGING A CHRISTMAS SONG (BY DEC 06)
I know we have some talented singers/musicians out there! If your child would like to sing (no other voices in the recording but theirs, please) or play an instrument, we would love to use it for a special music segment that will happen AFTER the pageant! Please watch THIS VIDEO on how to take a usable recording.
LEARN THE ADVENT DANCE (BY DEC 06)
This will look very similar to the Youth Sunday dance format we did in the spring... If you are interested in learning the dance, please email Miss Ash for the link to the tutorial video.
QUESTIONS? Please don't hesitate to email Miss Ash! :)
